This article summarizes the details of the now infamous president Trump and his impeachment for obstructing justice with the Ukrainian government and abuse of power. My review is available below.
The Fate of Shame
This is a historic moment in history with the impeachment of President 45. By knowledge of the article, I am made aware of what crimes Donald J. Trump has committed. I find it very sad that we have a president that seemed to operate above the law. This factual article keeps me abreast of the evidence that calls for the president's impeachment. This is a credible article because it provides every detail of the obstruction that remains evident in our presidential election that took place in 2016.
I agree that the president seems to have broken the law on more than one occasion. This articles states, - "The Democratic-led House approved 230-197 the first article of impeachment accusing Trump of abusing his power by asking Ukrainian officials to announce investigations that would benefit his reelection. Minutes later, the House approved a second article, voting 229-198 to charge Trump with obstructing the congressional investigation into that request." Donald Trump's plans to be reelected have been assisted by the Ukraninan government which is illegal. My question is, "If he was under investigation for cheating in elections since 2016, why would he make a call on July 25th of 2019 to the Ukrainian government to dismantle the election again?" He was already under the radar for this crime and he suspiciously does it while every call is tracked and monitored because of his threat to the election.
I am concerned about our democracy. I cannot understand the reason behind his supporters. Why defend a person who breaks the law to gain power illegally? Why support someone who calls his own supporters, "the dumbest party ever", Donald J. Trump? As Americans citizens, we have sacrificed lives for the opportunity to vote and this privilege should not be threatened by anyone. This type of obstruction puts our lives in jeopardy and threatens our freedom as a country.
